Meet our founder Melissa

Melissa was at the height of her corporate career when perimenopause hit her like a stack of pancakes. She was told she was too young for menopause. A global HR Director for a top firm and a big team and she was going great guns. And then she wasn’t.

At the age of 44 with a young family of four children and as the main breadwinner, the pressure was on. Suddenly Melissa was dealing with all of it plus the onset of memory loss, lack of confidence, anxiety, hot flushes and a feeling that it was all too much.

She was faced with just two options. Quit or fight.

Quit the big corporate career and give up everything she had worked so long to achieve for the sake of her sanity, her health and her family or fight. Fight the symptoms and battle though it come what may. Binary options are never good. There was no third choice back then.

Melissa talked to 8 different doctors. It seemed that no one had an answer for her. She was shocked at the lack of support and awareness. 

Before the big corporate career Melissa had studied physical education and knew a great deal about the body’s physiology. 

Roll on 6 years and Melissa has learned to thrive through the menopause transition. She heads up Meno Collective. Meno Collective is a movement. We are here to challenge the status quo, raise awareness, reduce stigma, and empower women to navigate their menopause journey with confidence and grace.
